The Guatemalan Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering-AGISA, local Chapter of AIDIS is organizing in Guatemala City from 8 to 11 November 2009, the 26th American Congress and the 5th National Congress of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering: Facing climate change disasters on water resource management.

Pre-Congress courses, November 4-6, 2009
• Wastewater Treatment
• Adapting to climate change VENUES
• Commercial art exhibition

Plenary sessions
Given the natural disasters that are severely affecting the countries of the region, in the Plenary will be presented the progress and actions of countries in terms of prevention, mitigation and corrective actions as well as the projects being implemented.

Awards
The Congress will award the Medalla AIDIS -Central America and the National Medal to the top three individual or group works presented. To qualify for these awards, the work must be original, unpublished and may not contain commercial advertising.
