The
rol of Water Safety Plans in the Regulation of Water Services
For the successful implementation of a water safety
plan, commitment of all the actors associated to the drinking
water services: local authorities, regulators and suppliers
is vital. A collaborative approach within the “Framework
for Drinking Water Safety” seeks to develop public health
objectives.
Accordingly, it is of special relevance that the 9th Annual
Assembly of the Association of Regulating Entities of Water
and Sanitation of the Americas, ADERASA (http://www.aderasa.org/),
has considered within its program, the discussion of the Water
Safety Plan management approach.
